Movistar Team da el primer golpe en Jerez (Clasificación COMPLETA y vídeo)

Online 1ª etapa

El Movistar Team de Nairo Quintana y Alejandro Valverde ha marcado las primeras diferencias en la contrarreloj por equipos de la primera etapa de la Vuelta a España, de 12,6 kilómetros en Jerez de la Frontera. Jonathan Castroviejo es el primer líder, como en 2012 cuando el equipo azul triunfó en Pamplona.

Primer asalto de color azul en la Vuelta. El Movistar Team se ha exhibido en el primer round y Quintana y Valverde han aventajado al resto de sus rivales: en 11" a Urán, en 19" a Contador, en 27" a Froome y en 38" a Joaquim Rodríguez. Un buen botín sin duda para empezar. Todos lo celebraban, aunque solo uno subía al podio a recoger el maillot rojo, Castroviejo, "no estaba planeado", aseguró, como hace dos años en Pamplona.

El equipo de Eusebio Unzué se quedó a cinco segundos de un sorprendente Cannondale en el primer punto intermedio (km 6,5) y gracias a salir último pudo conocer todas las referencias y acelerar en la segunda parte para dejar sin victoria a los italianos del Cannondale que habían superado por centésimas al Orica que esta vez no estuvo súper.

Contador salvó el día, séptimo el Tinkoff-Saxo, y, además, aventajó a Froome o Purito, este último de nuevo se dejó un tiempo a tener en cuenta, veremos hasta qué punto. Peor aún lo hizo el Garmin de Martin y Talansky, a 41", y Pinot se perdió en las calles de Jerez, descolgado de la FDJ, a 1:34 en la línea de meta.

La segunda etapa del domingo es una jornada propicia para los velocistas entre Algeciras y San Fernando, en un perfil llano y con el viento como único peligro aparente. Y en la meta se reparten bonificaciones.

Información anterior:

Una contrarreloj por equipos verpertina abre la Vuelta a España 2014 en Jerez de la Frontera. Se trata de un circuito urbano, con inicio en pavés y tendrán que sortear nada menos que 17 rotondas en un perfil plano para decidir el primer líder. Un ejercicio por tanto más técnico que de fuerza.

Comentario de la Vuelta:
La Vuelta 2014 comenzará con una contrarreloj por equipos en la ciudad de Jerez de la Frontera. Serán 12,6 kilómetros que tendrán que recorrer los equipos para conocer el nombre del primer líder de esta edición. Se trata de un recorrido urbano, muy andaluz, en el que los ciclistas pasarán por algunos de los puntos emblemáticos de la localidad gaditana que servirá como punto de partida de la Vuelta. Será un circuito corto y principalmente técnico en el que no habrá muchas diferencias entre los equipos.

Salida y llegada: Jerez de la Frontera
Jerez, Ciudad Europea del Vino 2014, es una ciudad singular por su amplia tradición vinatera, sus profundas raíces flamencas y sus vínculos históricos con el caballo, tres emblemas por los que es internacionalmente conocida y que se solapan con un amplio calendario festivo en el que destacan la Feria del Caballo, la Semana Santa, el Festival de Jerez o el Gran Premio de Motociclismo que acoge el Circuito de Velocidad de Jerez.

Todo ello, unido a su estratégica ubicación geográfica, a una oferta hotelera y hostelera de primera calidad, y a las características inigualables del clima de este rincón de Andalucía, la hacen situarse entre la élite de los destinos turísticos.

Jerez cuenta con atractivos turísticos sobrados, una marca de ciudad e identidad propia que le otorgan un perfil muy competitivo en el mercado, en el que cobra protagonismo a pasos agigantados.

Además, Jerez conmemora los 750 años de su incorporación a la Corona de Castilla con un amplio programa de actividades que se desarrollan durante todo el año.
